Working in Croatia
Croatia is the EU's newest member with rapidly growing demand in tourism, construction and food processing along the Adriatic coast. A combined work-and-residence permit is processed in 4 to 8 weeks; some sectors qualify for fast-track arrangements. Cost of living sits below the EU average; coastal cities (Split, Zadar) are pricier than inland (Osijek, Karlovac). A smaller but growing migrant-worker presence, with Croatian language support increasingly available at industrial sites.

What this role looks like day-to-day
A normal day moves between picking orders against a hand-scanner, packing them on labelled pallets, and operating a low-level forklift or pallet jack. Modern warehouses are climate-controlled and most picking is done within walking distance of your station. This role suits workers comfortable on their feet, with steady hand-eye coordination, and an ability to maintain accuracy as the picking pace builds toward end-of-shift cutoffs.
